"Ultimate Guide to Halloween Horror Nights 2024 at Universal Florida"

Updated: 6 days ago

H.H.N. 2024
HHN 33

Universal Destinations and Experiences has made some big announcements since March 28. I will list a recap of what's new and exciting coming in 2024. Let's get started!

Halloween Horror Nights 2024 Houses and Scare Zones

Universal confirmed Halloween Horror Nights 2024 will feature:

  • Ten haunted houses

  • Five scare zones

  • A live show

The Nightmare Fuel Revenge Dream show, which includes pyro and aerial performances, was featured at last year's H.H.N., and I expect it will be back again. Loud, spectacular, and somewhat risque(!!!), expect to be thrilled. But come early to the shows if you want a seat.

The speculation maps have taken over YouTube (exaggeration!), but Universal usually teases these out along with the scare zones over the next four months.

H.H.N. Calendar

H.H.N. will operate every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from Aug. 30 – Nov. 3, 2024. Event operating hours are 6:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.

Halloween Horror Nights 2024 event dates:

  • Aug. 30-31, 2024

  • Sept. 1, 4-8, 11-15, 18-22, and 25-29, 2024

  • Oct. 2-6, 9-13, 16-20, 23-27, and 30-31, 2024

  • Nov. 1–3, 2024

H.H.N. Tickets

A single-night Halloween Horror Nights 2024 ticket starts at $83, with prices based on the event date. Note: prices will be based on the event date. October prices are usually more expensive. This year, an H.H.N. ticket purchase comes with six months of the Peacock streaming service for free. At this time, multi-night tickets (Frequent Fear) are not yet available, and the announcement will probably be made in late August.

H.H.N. Express Passes

An Express Pass grants the guest front-of-line access to all 10 haunted houses at H.H.N. Express Passes for Halloween Horror Nights 2024 start at $130 in addition to the event admission price. The Express Passes are worth it if you have time restraints, particularly if you are arriving out of state. But again, depending on the weekday you go, you might not need them. From personal experience, this might be true if you go on a weekday, not a weekend, and in early September and early October (before the holiday).

HHN R.I.P. Tour

The Halloween Horror Nights R.I.P. Tour is a guided walking tour with front-of-line access to all ten haunted houses and more perks throughout the entire evening. I am seriously thinking of spending the money on this experience. It's one way to see all the houses and be fed by Universal at the same time. For 2024, the R.I.P. Tour starts at $360 per guest in addition to the event admission price.

Universal HHN 2024

See Haunted Houses Two Weeks Early

If you can't wait for your thrills, the Behind-the-Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour takes place during Universal Studios Florida’s regular operating day (in other words, not during Halloween Horror Nights) and provides guests with a backstage, lights-on peek at some of the event’s haunted houses and the creative process behind H.H.N. I've taken the three-house tour in 2022 and 2023 and found it fun and enjoyable. You get a 'behind the look' at designated houses with great information about the houses and various aspects of how and why the creative team scares you. It doesn't matter if you know how the scares are done; in the dark, I still got scared!

A three-house tour starts at $100 and will take place on select dates starting Aug. 11, 2024—over two weeks before the first H.H.N. event night of the season.

A six-house tour starts at $180 and will take place select dates starting Aug. 31, 2024.

Both three-house and six-house tour prices are in addition to daytime park admission to Universal Studios Florida.

I will follow up as more information comes in and let you know what's happening.
