"Experience the Thrills and Chills of Halloween at the Theme Park!"

Updated: Aug 29, 2023

In most places in the United States, it is HOT!!! That’s because it is summertime, the end of July and the beginning of August…the last month of summer, and the anticipated start of a new school year for students and teachers everywhere. Around the middle of July, quite a few theme park nerds, like me, look forward to the first signs of the scary season. This is when many theme parks announce the offerings of the Halloween scare festivals. Universal, Busch Gardens, Seaworld, Disney, and many other places are giving the dates and prices of what is about to descend on the world!

Getting ahead in the world
Shall we go ahead?

Universal Halloween Horror Nights 2023 runs for 44 nights of terrors and screams: September 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27, 28, 29, 30. October 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 31.” For more information, you can go to: www.universalorlando.com/hhn.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, and SeaWorld Orlando will run from September 8 through October 31: “Busch Gardens® Howl-O-Scream® returns in full force with ALL-NEW scares, taking over the entire park with haunted houses, terror-tories™, sinister shows, and party zones. Unsuspecting horrors await their victims at every turn. Plus, guests can test their thrill threshold with ten world-class coasters at night, offering a completely different ride experience.”

Disneyworld presents a Halloween party for the whole family with their Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. “This enjoyable and entertaining experience returns on select nights—from August 11 to November 1, 2023.”

These venues, and more around the country, have publicized the coming attractions to these events. Tickets usually go pretty fast, so you might want to make your plans sooner rather than later. (I have!) I will have more updates in September, so let’s enjoy the summer while it’s still here!
